ECPMF Conference "Defending the truth in a post-truth era"

It was a fascinating conference! We had controversial commentator Vera Lengsfeld debating “Lügenpresse” (lying press), elves fighting trolls, and two days of practical examples of how to debunk fake news, propaganda and hate speech. We talked about the self-censorship, propaganda during the French elections, and attacks on journalists in Germany. Press freedom experts, activists, and journalists from all over Europe gathered in Leipzig on the 13th and 14th of June 2017 to find ways of "Defending the truth in a post-truth era”.
