The heart of the ECPMF's documentation work is the long term central database – provided by the project partner Index on Censorship – in which violations of media freedom in Europe are systematically and continuously recorded. 

Everybody is welcome to report violations. The note should contain a description of the case; helpful information, links, names and contacts to organisations and people. 

Responsible regional editors together with local and international partners of the ECPMF research and record the incoming information, respond to queries and tips and moderate the contacts to people and organisations.
